1. Product Overview
UR8FV is the core analog sampling expansion card for GE UR series multifunction protection relays, completely different from UR6EV/UR6PH digital switch I/O modules. It is installed inside the relay chassis via internal backplane slot, powered by the main unit 24VDC bus.
Channel allocation: 3 phase CT (A/B/C), 1 neutral/ground CT, 4 independent VT voltage inputs; CT supports auto selection of 1A or 5A secondary rated current without jumper setting, VT adapts to 100/120V secondary voltage standard for power substation.
Equipped with high linearity 16-bit A/D converter, current measurement accuracy ±1% reading, voltage accuracy ±0.5% reading, support 50/60Hz power frequency synchronous sampling. Each analog channel adopts independent transformer galvanic isolation (2000VAC isolation withstand), effectively eliminate ground loop interference in high EMI substation cabinet.
Unique CT open-circuit detection and VT fuse failure monitoring function: continuously monitor abnormal secondary loop state, record fault time stamp and upload alarm to SCADA/HMI. All signal terminals integrate surge & ESD suppression circuits, wide temperature industrial hardware, widely used in thermal power, hydropower, petrochemical distribution substation main protection cabinets.
